How to use commonly available herbs in everyday life.
In this stimulating workshop, Dr Vijay Murthy will choose the most beneficial herbs from western herbal medicine and analyse them from an Ayurvedic materia medica perspective, and provide insights into research-based information on the effectiveness of the chosen herbs. Dr Vijay Murthy will share his recent discoveries of Western herbs in Ayurvedic practice based on his work with a Western herbalist in England.

Dr Vijayendra Murthy B.Nat (NZ), M.Surgery (Ayu), B. Ayu Med & Surgery (IN), MPH(NZ) Naturopathic practitioner, Ayurvedic doctor, Complementary and Integrative Medicine researcher Dr Murthy is a complementary medicine practitioner specialised in Ayurveda.
He is a clinician, teacher, author and researcher in traditional complementary and alternative medicine (TCAM). His training is in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from India, naturopathy and public health from New Zealand. He is a member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association (APA), a member of the British Accredited Ayurvedic Practitioners Association (BAAP), patron of the New Zealand Ayurvedic Practitioners Association (TNZAA) and a health researcher at the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine (ARCCIM). For more than two decades, Dr.Murthy has integrated nutrition, lifestyle medicine, herbal medicine, and Ayurvedic care in both preventative health care and in the management of chronic illnesses. He currently practices from London, gives talks and seminars for the general public, health professionals and researchers.
