Assignment Extension Form 2011

To gain a deadline extension on an assignment, you must apply before the assignment due date. Where an assignment is handed in late and no written extension was granted by the tutor then there is a deduction of 10% of the final mark for every week, or part thereof, that it is late.

Where an assignment is handed in late but prior written permission was granted by the tutor, no deduction is made, provided the assignment is handed in by that extension date. If the assignment is handed in after this date, then a deduction of marks applies as above. The standard extension for an assignment is one week and this is negotiable in only very exceptional circumstances.
